Yesterday, August 27, 2012, marked the beginning of a new school year on the BYU campus. No longer a freshman, I find myself sitting in the same buildings and the same classrooms as a sophomore. Though surely the the differences between the freshmen and sophomores on campus cannot be that great; this school year feels like a new chapter in my life.
Stepping out of the Provo "bubble" for the summer made me realize how much I really missed the spirit at BYU. I am glad to be back in a place where even in the classrooms, prayers are said, scriptures are quoted, and happiness is found in abundance.
Today I am grateful to attend a university that not only teaches things of the world, but things of a spiritual nature; a university where every day students are reminded of their divine heritage, that they are sons and daughters of a loving God.
